El Charro Mexican Grill in Cartersville

On the advice of some neighbors, we went to El Charro. We have always been happy with our favorite restaurant in Rome, GA, but we are not able to go there as often, after moving to Cartersville. We we're very pleased with the service, the food was delicious, the margaritas were yummylischous. We will definitely be going back. The serving portions are very generous, their menu has something for everyone.

Love their margaritas. Me and my brother went for his birthday and ordered a picther of margaritas and they brought it out in a very pretty vase like pitcher.

Pretty overrated. Salsa seem like it's from a can. The shrimp in the shrimp tacos were over cooked. Menudo and no Ceviche on the menu but your a mexican restaurant?

Expensive; food was decent steak in burrito was tough and upsetting for the price. Salsa was also disappointing.

El Charro...you are truly a staple in our town. The job you did with Our Birthday Dinner Party of 20 tonight was absolutely Outstanding. Your speed of delivering 20 plates as well as how you catered to us and made us feel so special despite having a restuarant full of people outside of our group is simply amazing. Your positive attitudes is very infectious and you will forever be my favorite Mexican Restaurant. Thanks Guys...yall are the best!!!

A very popular place in Cartersville! It was absolutely packed at 6 p.m. which is a great sign for a restaurant. I'm told it's best to call ahead and get your name on the list. I would give it 5 stars except that my meal was a little bland. Others with me really enjoyed their meal so I will try something else next time I go. 4+ stars.

Great food and service priced appropriately

There are few places that offer a better location than El Charro. A Friday night after a long week of work, sitting by the lake/pond, with a 24 ounce margarita is the absolute best way to unwind. They have the best fajita choices as well. It speaks volumes that I drive about 15 miles to eat here.

El Charro is consistently really good and has a nice outdoor patio area that overlooks a little pond. I’ve never had a bad experience here. The staff is what makes this place really special. They remember my family when we visit and make suggestions for new things to try based on what we’ve enjoyed in the last. Margaritas are excellent. It’s a great atmosphere.

This place is DISGUSTING. I used to regularly eat here (for almost 4 years) and grab a margarita (which are now overpriced). Sadly the service has declined over the years. They did open an additional bar right around the corner which is mediocre. But the main restaurant has ants really bad at the bar. The management is also very rude and unprofessional, the last time my family and I were here the female server/ manager gave us very bad service, we had to wait forever for service and she regularly ignored us trying to grab her attention. We confronted her about the poor customer service, which she excused because she was busy. the last time I came by a few days ago the same manager came by and questioned and confronted me about why we complained about bad service. I have never been to an establishment where the manager confronts customers and tells them they are wrong. Overall the place used to be ok but as I said the service has declined a lot.

El pastor taco was delicious. The corn tortillas are authentic but people eat more flour tortillas for a reason. Great service. Steak tacos yum too. everything very good

We went for Cinco De Mayo and it was a blast. Great atmosphere as Amazing service. Our servers name was Leti. She was very sweet and friendly. She always had a smile on her face. She brought our drinks and food out to us fast and always kept checking on us. She is a phenomenal server. I recommend if you go to El Charro to ask for Leti! Also the food was amazing. This will be our go to restaurant from now on. Love the food and the margaritas!
